Position Overview: The Statistician works within our quality department to apply statistical methods to real-world manufacturing and quality assurance.

Your Day to Day as a Statistician:

• Perform statistical evaluations of quality assurance data using exploratory data analysis, regression, mixed models' analysis, and statistical process control techniques within a manufacturing environment.
• Perform and evaluate statistical analysis to comply with contract requirements.
• Document statistical justifications for requirement acceptance and/or violations to support technical acceptance documents and manufacturing component release activities.
• Qualify measurement and inspection systems using statistical evaluations including gage R&R studies and process capability studies.
• Develop programs in the SAS language which will allow users to perform the required statistical analyses on the product.
• Assists other groups in the facility with problem solving investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost reduction assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics (by December 2027) is required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and clear decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to select the appropriate statistical analysis to fit the problem and produce relevant results.
• Effectively manage time in an environment that demands multi-tasking.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance

Pay: $60,000 - $136,000
