About the role: Lumafield is looking for a QA Test Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge, cloud-based web application Voyager. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will implement and iterate on the Voyager QA strategy—blending manual exploratory testing with the development of robust automation testing—to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience to the users who rely on our platform for complex industrial inspection.

  • Develop automated integration tests against test plans, utilizing test frameworks such as Playwright to improve consistency and speed of tests
  • Coordinate with external QA resources to improve test coverage across the application

About you:

  • Enjoy working as a member of a software team spanning a large tech stack where we’re constantly learning new technologies as we push the limits of what’s possible
  • Find satisfaction in exploring edge cases and trying to break things
  • Are excited to learn more about our the ins and outs of the Voyager application and our users’ needs through integrating with team members and helping to meet their testing goals
  • Can reason about complex systems and help define rigorous test plans which can identify regressions
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented

Bonus points for:

  • Experience as a member of a quality assurance team
  • A formal training in computer science

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
